New users: Getting accepted for live posting in the forum

• You cannot register on this page. To become a registered user, please fill in the email, User Name and Password fields when submitting your messages. A forum moderator may then choose to set up a login account for you, granting you the right to post live to the forum. Then again, he may not.
• Post reasonable messages!
• No topic is taboo, and it doesn't matter what side you take on any issue, as long as you engage in serious discussion that isn't rabid.

Getting rejected for live posting in the forum

• If you access this forum through an anonymizer, or if your browser fails to save cookies between different sessions at this site, then you will not be accepted for live postings.

• Remember that everything you say here is public, and unlike chat, it is persistent. That is, the message doesn't go away when you do. So don't put anything here that you don't want others to see.
• After posting a message, hit the "continue" button to reload the page that shows all the threaded messages. You only have to post your message once. Sometimes your browser won't actually reload a new version of the page, and so you won't see your message, but it is there!
• If you're having trouble, you can check your browser settings.
