It matters not when the data were gathered, for the true figures are never released. Coverups with false reasons for deaths are most often used in order not to instill fear in prospective victims.
Yes indeed the risks today are even far greater than ever before in history with the resistant strains of bacteria present in hospitals.
I'm not aware of any diseases late in life that can be prevented by mutilation. Thus far, every attempt to find one has been proven to be false.
