I ve got the same deal going on here....I messed up and had an affair with a woman a while back...I already admitted it to my wife and we are reconciled and everything was going fine. Until the day after my birthday I was told I had a daughter and was asked to give up my parental rights. The mother of my daughter wants to give her up for adoption, and I refuse to sign her over for adoption... I dont know what to do, but I feel that I need to be a man and stand up and take action for my stupidity. They are fighting to take away my parental rights, and allow this girl of mine to be adopted. Do I have a chance? My wife and I both agree that we need to take custody of her even though she gave birth to her, even though I do not want to cause any more heartache for this family, I just feel in my heart that there is no excuse for her being given up for adoption.
