My son is going through the same thing. My granddaughter is 4. Her mother is very unstable. She went to visit relatives in Illinois and didnīt come back,but the stupid judge here gave her primary physical custody. Now,we have to meet them in Kentucky twice a month to get her for a week. Mother is living with boyfriend. Moving around without notifying my son.Had a job,but is being layed off this month. She took a car that was in both names and stopped making payments. The daycare worker where my granddaughter stays during the day is keeping us informed of these things not to mention that child is staying with her grandmother there 90% of the time. My son has a nice home and secure job here for his daughter. His lawyer says we canīt do anything until something bad happens to my granddaughter. YES, the system is totally screwed up. If anyone is reading this about to fight for custody, donīt waste your time and money on lawyers and courts. Just wait until you have the child in your custody and refuse to let other spouse take them.
