I have been divorced from wife for 10 years. Our daughter is now 16. I live in Georgia. They have been in Minnesota since shortly after our divorce.Exwife has been married twice, since, and has recently been arrested and convicted on Meth charges in Minnesota. My daughter, desperately, wants to stay in Minnesota. I pay $500 a month in child support. My aughter suffers from asthma and requires over $500 a month in medication. I pay for family health insurance to Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I have started paying for all the drugs for the last 3 months. As a result I am in financial ruin. My output, with child support, medication and insurance is , now, over $1300.00 a month. I love my daughter and don´t mind supporting her but now it is becoming impossivble. I bring home roughly $2400 a month. My mortgage is $940 a month. You can do simple math and see that I am tanking out. Is this fair to me? My ex has turned my child against me. The ex is scared that she won´t be able to regain cstody upon her release. I want, so badly, to do the right thing. It seems I am paying dearly for my ex´s mistakes. I don´t know what my rights are. Is there any government programs that can help me pay for all this. My bank statements show that I am and have always payed child support and insurance. I´m at my whits end. My daughter loves me but does whatever Mom says. She is living with under 30 aunt whom has a prior drug problem. I´m expected to pay and just deal with it. HELP.
